Southgate Townhouses

Southgate townhouses are a yet to be realised concept for a a hillside site in Wellington. The Clients brief was for a solution that would maximize the use of their existing rental property and that added interest and appeal to the street. What resulted was a mirrored plan of two monolithic forms balanced on a lower floor plinth, cantilevered to frame the viewport of the south coast. Access and low maintenance materials were prioritised in the construction with both townhouses intended to be rentals.
